LineLevel Privacy Policy

LineLevel ("LineLevel", "we", "us") provides multi-entity operations software for instrument repair and build shops, including inventory management, work orders, and sales-channel integrations with platforms such as Shopify and Reverb. This policy explains what data we collect through those integrations, why, and how it's handled.

What we collect

When a merchant connects a sales channel to LineLevel, we access and store:

• Store identification — your shop's domain and an encrypted API access token, used to authenticate requests to your store on your behalf.
• Product data — SKUs, quantities, and pricing, used to keep stock levels in sync across your connected channels.
• Order data — order line items, and the shipping name, address, phone, and email associated with each order, used to fulfill orders and generate shipping labels.

We do not access storefront customer accounts, payment card details, or any data beyond what's needed to sync inventory and fulfill orders.

How we use it

Order and product data is used exclusively to operate the sync: decrementing stock when a sale comes in, pushing updated quantities back to your other connected channels, and populating the fulfillment queue you use to ship orders. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.

How it's stored and protected

API access tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) before storage and are never logged or exposed in plaintext. Application data is hosted in a managed Postgres database (Supabase). Access is restricted to the infrastructure that runs LineLevel; we don't grant data access to unrelated third parties.

Data retention and deletion

We retain order and product data for as long as your sales channel remains connected, so that fulfillment and reporting features keep working. If you disconnect a channel or uninstall LineLevel, we redact the shipping name, address, phone, and email tied to that store's orders. Aggregate sales and inventory records are retained as your own business records, not personal data.

We respond to Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction) as required for App Store compliance.

Your rights

If you're a merchant using LineLevel, you can request a copy of, or deletion of, the data we hold for your store at any time by contacting us below. If you're a customer of a merchant using LineLevel, please contact that merchant directly — we act as their service provider, not the merchant of record.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as LineLevel adds features or integrations. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
